Douglas Stewart is a licensed physical therapist with extensive experience in various settings, including home health care, outpatient orthopedics, and acute care. Currently serving as a Staff Physical Therapist at Lorian Health since December 2022, Douglas specializes in rehabilitation, orthopedic and neurologic care, and post-operative rehabilitation, employing techniques such as manual therapy and Pilates. Prior to this role, Douglas owned and operated Home Health Wellness & Physical Therapy from 2010 to 2022, delivering comprehensive home health rehabilitation services. Douglas's professional journey includes roles at Matt Smith Physical Therapy, Desert Valley Therapy, Virginia Beach General Hospital, and Physiotherapy Associates, along with earlier experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant at the University of Virginia. Educationally, Douglas holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University, an Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from Jefferson College of Health Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bridgewater College.
