Joshua Calafato has a strong work experience in the field of software engineering. Joshua is currently working as the Director of Algorithms/Senior Software Engineer at Lorica Systems since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at SHIELD Crypto Systems Inc. as a Software Engineer from May 2018 to May 2021.

Joshua also gained valuable experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Intel Corporation from May 2016 to September 2017. During this time, they developed software using dynamic and recursive methods for the analysis and reporting of IO buffers, and contributed to the development of an extensive infrastructure in perl, tcl, and python.

Before joining Intel Corporation, Joshua served as a Board of Director at the University of Toronto Students' Union from May 2015 to April 2016. Joshua also worked as a Researcher at the University of Stuttgart from June 2015 to August 2015.

In addition to their academic and research roles, Joshua has experience in operations and leadership. Joshua served as the Director of Operations at You're Next Career Network from April 2014 to March 2015. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Toronto from May 2014 to August 2014.

Joshua's early work experience includes being a Camp Counsellor at the City of Toronto in March 2013, and working as a Grocery Clerk at Loblaw Companies Limited from August 2010 to February 2013.

Joshua Calafato attended Bishop Allen Academy from 2009 to 2013, but did not earn a degree or specialize in any particular field of study. Joshua then enrolled at the University of Toronto from 2013 to 2018 and successfully completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Engineering Science.
