Previously, Andrew served as an Economic Crimes Investigator at the Greenville County Sheriff's Office from 1994 to 2005 and as a Law Enforcement Officer in the United States Air Force from 1987 to 1994. Academic achievements include a Doctor of Business Administration in Homeland Security from Northcentral University, a Master of Public Administration in National Security Policy Studies from Clemson University, a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Charleston Southern University, and a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University.

LANL is a United States Department of Energy national laboratory, managed and operated by Los Alamos National Security (LANS), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico. The laboratory is one of the largest science and technology institutions in the world. It conducts multidisciplinary research in fields such as national security, space exploration, renewable energy,[2] medicine, nanotechnology, and supercomputing.
