Brian David Lansrud-Lopez serves as the Program Director at Los Alamos National Laboratory since May 2000, where responsibilities include overseeing the X-Theoretical Design Division, focusing on the assessment of physics performance, safety, and security related to U.S. nuclear capabilities. Additionally, Brian held the position of Division Leader and contributed as a Technical Staff Member at the Joint Staff - Directorate for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Policy (J5) from June 2017 to January 2019, serving as a Senior Technical Advisor and Nuclear Weapons Council Action Officer. Academically, Brian earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nuclear Engineering and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Radiological Health Engineering from Texas A&M University, completing studies in 2005 and 1995, respectively.
