Leroy Sims, MD, MSc, CAQSM, FACEP, currently serves as the Director of Player Performance and Health for the Los Angeles Lakers since September 2024. Previously, from July 2014 to September 2024, Leroy held the position of Senior Vice President, Head of Medical Operations for the National Basketball Association, overseeing medical operations and collaborating with global leaders in sports medicine and emergency medicine. Leroy's extensive experience also includes roles such as Sports Medicine Team Physician for the United States Olympic Committee, Medical Director for the Golden State Warriors, and Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine. Leroy completed a Doctor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, supplemented by a Master of Science in Biology from Stanford University.
