Alexandra Derosa

Alexandra DeRosa is a highly experienced music educator with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as a Secondary Music Teacher at Loudoun County Public Schools since August 2017, Alexandra teaches Strings 6, 7, 8, and has recently added Guitar 7 and Music Lab 6 classes. Concurrently, Alexandra has been an Instrumental Music Teacher at Harper Park Middle School since August 2007, instructing students in Violin, Viola, Cello, and String Bass for grades 6-8. Additionally, Alexandra has been providing private violin and viola lessons since 1981, catering to a wide range of students from beginners to advanced levels. Previous roles include General Music Teacher positions at Loudoun County Public Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools, where Alexandra taught both elementary and secondary levels. Alexandra holds a Master of Music in Music Teacher Education from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Commonwealth University-Bloomsburg.
