Stylist, designer and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen was born and raised in NYC. For over seven years she worked as Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor at Cosmopolitan Magazine, where she styled and produced celebrity covers and fashion and beauty editorials. While traveling extensively on photo shoots around the world, Rebecca fell in love with various countries, cultures and aesthetics, all of which continue to influence her design and point of view. It was her childhood summers spent at her family’s Hamptons home where her love affair with the beach began, becoming the perfect backdrop for her fairytale wedding in 2010 and later the inspiration for her wanderlust label LoveShackFancy. The colors, the light and the salty warm air inspired Rebecca's magical backyard wedding, evocative of the South of France meets Great Expectations. Always the dreamer and creator, Rebecca designed her own bridesmaid dresses to make her dream a reality. "I truly wanted my bridesmaids to look and feel like ethereal goddesses, dancing barefoot in the garden under the moonlit summer night." Receiving such an overwhelming response from family and friends, Rebecca saw an opportunity and a need for effortless pieces women can wear from day to night, city to beach. Rebecca officially left the magazine world to throw herself into her new business venture in 2012, successfully launching the brand LoveShackFancy and becoming a mother within the same month. She launched the eponymous label in May 2013 and evolved the collection to become the ultimate bohemian inspired womens fashion collection forming the perfect travel wardrobe with a cult following of boho, globe-trotting goddesses, including Gwyneth Paltrow, JLo and Chrissy Tiegen.
