Clinton Willson currently serves as the Dean of LSU College of the Coast & Environment, a position held since June 2024. Clinton has been associated with Louisiana State University since August 1998, progressing through ranks from Assistant Professor to Professor, and briefly holding the role of Interim Dean for the same college from July 2023 to May 2024. Prior to this, Clinton was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from July 1996 to June 1998 and served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps from August 1985 to December 1991. Clinton holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering was also earned from Penn State University.
