Greg Lutz

Professor at LSU

Greg Lutz currently serves as Editor in Chief for the World Aquaculture quarterly magazine with a focus on global outreach for aquaculture stakeholders. Lutz has been a Technical Consultant at LutzAqua since January 2020 and a Professor at Louisiana State University since September 1991, specializing in Aquaculture Research and Extension. Previous roles include Editor in Chief at Aquaculture Magazine from October 2013 to January 2020, Asesor at Grupo Granjas Marinas from 2005 to 2013, and Fisheries Biologist Programs Manager - Biometrician at the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in 1991. Lutz holds both an MS and PhD in Aquaculture from Louisiana State University, obtained between 1981 and 1987, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish from Earlham College, earned from 1975 to 1979.
