Michael Chatman currently serves as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Men’s Basketball at Louisiana State University since May 2024. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Associate Sports Performance Coach at Stanford University, overseeing Men’s Basketball and Golf from August 2019 to May 2024. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Towson University, and Director of Basketball Performance at The University of Southern Mississippi. Earlier roles include positions at the University of Michigan, The University of Texas at Austin, Penn State University, Southern University and A&M College System, along with internships at Gayle Hatch Weightlifting and Southeastern Louisiana University. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from PennWest California and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Southeastern Louisiana University.
