Nam Nguyen is a seasoned professional in the field of computer vision and robotics with extensive experience in engineering and research roles. At Lucid Motors since April 2022, Nam holds the position of Sr Manager in Computer Vision Engineering, leading a team focused on pose mapping and surround view technologies. Prior to this, Nam served as a Staff Engineer at Vimaan Robotics, specializing in vision-based navigation and perception algorithms from December 2019 to April 2022. Nam founded Xphero, where innovative products such as a singlecopter drone with real-time VR capabilities and a portable 360-degree video calling device were developed between December 2016 and December 2019. Earlier experience includes a research role at High Tech Institute, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, working on a micro aerial vehicle project. Nam holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned in 2010.
