Fridrik Laxdal Karason

Fridrik Laxdal Karason is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer and Tech Lead with extensive experience in predictive maintenance and data analytics. Currently serving as a Staff ML Engineer & Tech Lead at Lucinity since June 2022, Fridrik has a strong track record at Boeing Vancouver from June 2017 to June 2022, where responsibilities included leading productionization efforts for aircraft component failure predictions and optimizing data science components. Proficient in languages and technologies such as Python, Docker, and Tensorflow, Fridrik has also held roles as a full stack Software Engineer with UBC Golf Team and as a Data Analyst at UBC Sauder School of Business. Fridrik holds a Master of Management in Operations Research and Analytics from The University of British Columbia and dual Bachelor's degrees in Computer Software Engineering and Financial Engineering from Reykjavik University.
