Zongjian Zhang has worked in various roles since 2011. In 2011, they were a Computer Vision R&D Engineer at Vancl.com, where they researched and developed intelligent image-based systems. From 2013 to 2015, they were an AI R&D Engineer at Beijing LF Technology, where they pre-researched and optimized for visual and audio intelligent algorithms. In 2015, they worked as an Associate Research Engineer at NICTA, where they developed a local tool for predicting failure probabilities of water pipes, shutdown blocks, and trunk mains. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Research Engineer at CSIRO's Data61, where they designed and developed a website-based KPI performance analysis system for Acer's maintenance service team. In 2018, they were a Full-Stack Senior Software Engineer at Vmor, where they were responsible for designing and developing three website-based systems for travel agents. In 2019, they were a Senior R&D Engineer - Computer Vision at the University of Technology Sydney, where their major project was Image-based Fish Freshness Assessment, Size Measurement and Species Recognition. Since 2020, they have been working at Lumachain, where they have held the roles of Senior Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer, Head of AI & CV (Acting), and Head of AI & CV.
Zongjian Zhang has obtained three degrees, starting with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2007, with a major in Technology of Measurement and Control, and Instrument. Zongjian then obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) from Beijing Jiaotong University in 2011, with a major in Mechantronical Engineering (Image Signal Measurement). Zongjian is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Technology Sydney, with a major in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications, Introduction to Machine Learning in Production from Coursera in October 2021, and Computer Vision and Its Application in Autonomous Driving Perception System from Aiimooc.
