Ron Kimmel is a distinguished expert in computer science and electrical engineering with significant contributions to various technology initiatives. Currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer at Lumana since March 2022, Ron is also a co-founder of Videocites, focusing on advanced search engines for visual media, and a partner at BBK Technologies, specializing in pixel-related technologies. As a chaired professor at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, since 1998, Ron has been involved in teaching and research. Their previous roles include senior scientific researcher at Intel Corporation, where Ron's research on depth sensors contributed to applications in autonomous vehicles and security systems, and co-founding Invision, known for pioneering 3D cameras before its acquisition by Intel. Ron also has experience as a scientist at Novafora and as a visiting professor at Stanford University, with a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Technion.
