Garth Eliason

Garth Eliason is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the optics and laser technology field. Currently serving as the Principal Engineer for Optical Supplier Quality at Lumentum since June 2021, Garth supports optical supplier qualification and NPI initiatives for Commercial Lasers and Telecom. Previous roles include Product Engineer and Engineering Manager at Collins Aerospace, where responsibilities encompassed subsystem design assurance and talent acquisition for E/O and IR imaging systems. As Director of Technology Development at Phoseon Technology, Garth led the development of core technologies for UV LED-based curing. Garth's career also includes significant positions at FLIR Systems, ESI, and Microvision Inc., contributing to laser and optics development across various applications. Educational qualifications include an MS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Semiconductor Lasers and a BS in Engineering Physics, both from Oregon State University.
