Ricardo Saad

Ricardo Saad is a highly experienced professional in the fields of research and development, electrical engineering, and academia. Currently serving as Director of R&D at Lumentum since September 2015, Ricardo Saad also holds the position of Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at Dallas since September 2001. Previous roles include Director of R&D at JDSU, VP of R&D and Operations at Menara Networks, and Principal Engineer at Tellabs, among other positions in leading technology companies. Ricardo Saad earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering specializing in Optoelectronics and Microwaves from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, alongside a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba.
