Dirk Gehrels

Dirk Gehrels is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and product design, predominantly within the lighting and AV industries. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Philips Lighting since December 2011, Dirk focuses on developing cost-efficient LED-driven lighting solutions for the professional market. Previous roles include Senior Product Engineer at Projecta and Manager R&D at Parthos, where Dirk led projects on AV products and movable partitioning walls, respectively. Dirk has also held various positions in R&D and design, bridging transitions between engineering roles, and holds a degree in Industrial Design from Delft University of Technology.
