Magnus Genrup

Magnus Genrup serves as the Head of the Department of Energy Sciences at Lunds universitet, overseeing a staff of 85. With a focus on Gas turbine aerothermal engineering, turbine- and compressor aerodynamics, and CO2-neutral power production, Magnus holds the position of Full Professor in Thermal Power Engineering and is a member of the LTH board. Prior to this role, Magnus was an Associate Professor specializing in similar areas. Previously, Magnus worked at Siemens in various capacities, including Aerodynamicist and R&D Engineer, contributing to several gas turbine projects and delivering in-house courses on turbomachinery and thermodynamics. Education includes a Ph.D. in Thermal Power Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, alongside a Licentiate degree in the same field.
