Andrew Stern has spent his entire career focused on early stage company development, financing and operations.
At present, Andy is a Founder and Managing Partner at Aurify, a New York-based business catalyst focused on building and operating a portfolio of companies in a variety of industries, including finance, technology and multi-unit franchise concepts.
Prior to joining FPP, Andy founded AMT Partners, an investment group focused on personal private equity investments. Previously, Andy was a Managing Director and Entrepreneur-In-Residence of idealab!, where he managed portfolio company development, which included idea vetting, strategic planning and technical development. Andy joined idealab! upon the company’s acquisition of VenCatalyst, Inc., a company he founded and the East Coast’s first for-profit idea accelerator. Prior to starting VenCatalyst, Andy founded Logex International LLC, one of the first electronic commerce solutions providers. Logex was acquired by AppNet, Inc. (now CommerceOne), an e-commerce outsourcing conglomerate. After the acquisition, Andy joined AppNet’s senior management team as VP of Marketing, where he successfully guided the company through its initial public offering.
Andy serves on the board of Blue Point Ventures, LLC, FGNY, LLC and as Chairman of The Greenhouse, LLC.
Andy received his BA in Political Science from Vanderbilt University. He resides in Connecticut with his wife and three children.
