Lauren Hodge Peters has extensive experience in marketing, project management, and program development. Lauren worked as the Associate Director of Marketing, Data & Communications at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, where they provided critical leadership and managed marketing projects. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Marketing & Programs at the Children's Museum of Sonoma County, overseeing PR/marketing, website maintenance, and leading a website redesign project. Lauren also has experience in consulting, education, and art galleries, including roles at Mountain Light Consulting, National Gallery of Art, Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, Bay Area Discovery Museum, Museum of Photographic Arts, and Luis de Jesus Gallery. Additionally, they have a background in food service and retail, with proficiency in various software programs.
Lauren Hodge Peters's education history begins with their Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History from San Diego State University, which they obtained from 2007 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts in Museum Studies at John F. Kennedy University from 2011 to 2013.
In addition to their formal education, Lauren has obtained various certifications. In 2018, they became a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) through Sonoma County Tourism. Lauren further enhanced their skills in fundraising and marketing by obtaining Organizational Best Practices Certificates from Blackbaud in June 2020. Lauren also attained the Altru Fundamentals Exam certification from Blackbaud in April 2020. More recently, in October 2020, they completed the Leadership Santa Rosa program and became a graduate of Leadership Santa Rosa - Class 35 through the Leadership Santa Rosa Alumni Association.
