Nicolas Girard is a Research Engineer at LuxCarta since March 2021, with a background in computer science and image analysis. Previously, Nicolas was a PhD student at Inria from November 2017 to November 2020, focusing on the EPITOME project in satellite image processing using Deep Learning under the supervision of Yuliya Tarabalka. Nicolas undertook a PhD internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in late 2019, where the focus was on integrating deep learning with geometry. Early experience includes a research internship at Thales in Computer Vision, the creation of website prototypes, and various positions related to software development and IT management. Nicolas holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Université Côte d'Azur and multiple master’s degrees from École des Mines de Saint-Étienne.
