Daniel von Arx, PhD, has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate communications. Daniel started their career as a freelance texter and journalist in 1979, before working as a communications consultant and concept developer at Hugo Schmidt AG from 1988 to 1993. Daniel then served as a media spokesperson and head of the press office for the German-speaking region at Credit Suisse from 1994 to 1995. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Corporate Communications at Luzerner Kantonalbank AG, where they are responsible for media relations, investor relations, internal communication, change communications, corporate governance, newsroom management, crisis management, and communication.
Daniel von Arx, PhD has a diverse education history. In 1988, they earned a lic. oec. degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften, with a focus on Volkswirtschaftslehre and a minor in Soziologie from Université de Neuchâtel. Following this, from 1990 to 1992, they obtained a Dr. phil. II degree in Geografie from the University of Basel.
In 1993, Daniel von Arx attended New York University where they completed a Certificate program in Public Relations. The following year, they enrolled in MAZ-Die Schweizer Journalistenschule and acquired a Zertifikat in "Umgang mit Medien" (now known as CAS Communications & Media Relations).
Lastly, in 2009, Daniel von Arx completed the SKU Management Programm (Schweiz) where they earned a SKU-Diplom, which is now known as CAS-HSG am IMP-HSG, with a specialization in Führung-BWL-Strategie.
