Deneen Richard has extensive work experience in the field of internal audit and risk management. From 2007 to 2019, they worked at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, where they held various positions such as Director of Audit Consulting Services, Manager of Audit Consulting Services, Senior Auditor, and Operational Auditor. Throughout their tenure, they successfully implemented enterprise policy management processes, managed the evaluation of controls and development of technology and business risks, and led numerous audits. Prior to that, they worked at Lisa Traina, CPA, LLC as an Auditor, where they played a key role in creating access control processes and policies for community banks. Deneen also worked as a Help Desk Manager at St. Joseph's Academy, where they developed software and inventory management processes. Currently, Deneen holds the position of AVP, Chief Internal Auditor at LWCC since 2019.
Deneen Richard completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Finance, General from Louisiana Tech University, starting in 1998 and graduating in 2001. Prior to that, they attended St. Joseph's Academy from 1993 to 1997, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
In terms of additional certifications, Deneen Richard obtained the Advanced SOC for Service Organizations Certificate from the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in July 2019. In January 2019, they also received the COSO Enterprise Risk Management Certificate from AICPA.
