Gerben Meier

Gerben Meier is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the chemical engineering field, currently serving as Vice President of Global Product Development and Circular Design at LyondellBasell since August 2000. With a strong background in polyethylene (PE) technology development and commercialization, Gerben has held various positions including Associate Director and Pilot Plant Manager, where responsibilities focused on the development of PE process technologies. Prior to joining LyondellBasell, Gerben worked at Basell Italy as a Process Development Engineer from August 2000 to May 2003, specializing in the development of PE and polypropylene (PP) processes. Educationally, Gerben obtained a Dr. Ir. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente, completing studies in 2000.
