Armin Salmen has extensive experience in the field of research and development (R&D) and innovation. Armin currently holds the position of VP of R&D/Innovation at Lyons Magnus since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked at NextFoods, Inc., starting in 2007 as the VP of R&D and QA, and remained in that role until September 2020. Before NextFoods, Inc., they were the Director of R&D at WhiteWave Foods, where they oversaw R&D aspects for organic soymilk and other soy products. Armin began their career at Protein Technologies Intl./solae, first as the Manager of Technical Services in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and later in St. Louis, MO, USA, where they were in charge of R&D for soy-based dairy analogs, primarily soy cheese.
Armin Salmen obtained their Doctorate degree in Food Science from the University of Hohenheim, where they attended from 1984 to 1993.
