Vegard Furu

Vegard Furu is a seasoned professional in data and analytics, currently serving as Team Lead for Data Development & Analytics Platform at Lyse since August 2023, where the implementation of Azure Databricks has been a key focus. Prior experience includes working as a Business Analytics Consultant at Sopra Steria from August 2021 to July 2023, where responsibilities spanned project management, solution architecture, and leading teams in developing impactful data solutions on Microsoft Azure. Vegard also gained valuable insights during a summer internship at Yara International in 2020, utilizing machine learning to enhance sales predictions, and earlier roles at DNB and Scandic Hotels, which developed customer service and communication skills. Vegard holds a Master of Science in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and completed a Master of Science as a Visiting Undergraduate Student in Mechanical Engineering and Economics at UNSW.
