Leah Janzen

Leah Janzen has extensive work experience in communications and marketing roles. Leah is currently the Chief Communications & Marketing Officer at MacEwan University, a position they started in March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Director of Communications & Employee Engagement at Alberta Public Service from November 2021 to March 2023. Before that, they served as the Director of Communications at Covenant Health Canada from September 2018 to November 2021. Leah also held the role of Regional Director of Communications, Media, Public and Government Affairs at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority from February 2016 to November 2021. Leah'scareer began as a Journalist at the Winnipeg Free Press in October 1997, where they worked until August 2006. Leah also has a variety of communications and outreach roles at the University of Manitoba from 2006 to 2016, including Associate Vice-President, Outreach & Engagement.

Leah Janzen has a degree in Creative Communications from Red River College Polytechnic. Leah also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba. Leah has not obtained any additional certifications at this time.
