Michael J. Atwood is an experienced educator and writer currently serving as the English Language Arts Curriculum Instructional Leader for Taunton Public Schools since July 2023. Michael has contributed to the AP Literature textbook published by Macmillan Learning and has been involved as an AP Literature and Language and Composition Exam Reader since January 2022. In addition, Michael leads sessions for AP exam preparation through Mass Insight Education & Research and has graded exams for ETS. Michael authored works published through Amazon KDP, exploring themes of ambition and struggle in the context of Santa Monica, California. Previously, Michael taught high school English at New Bedford Public Schools, instructing over 100 students in Advanced Placement courses. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Secondary Education from Boston College and a Master's degree in Creative Writing from the University of Southern California.
