Tim Flem has a diverse work experience across several companies. Tim started their career as a Project Editor at Custom Editorial Productions, Inc. in 1993 and worked there until 1997. Following this, they worked as a Sole Proprietor at PublishWare from 1997 to 2007, where they provided publishing solutions for educational publishers. Tim then joined Pearson in 2007, initially as an Editorial Project Manager, where they managed textbook, digital media, and ancillary product author teams and also made sales visits to instructors. Tim later became a Digital Product Strategy Manager, leading the research and development effort for Pearson's REVEL platform. In 2015, Tim was promoted to the role of Director of Digital Product Strategy, where they supported customers and sales/marketing teams in adopting emerging learning technology products. Tim then joined Macmillan Learning in 2016 as a Vice President of Product Management, leading the launch of their next-generation courseware platform Achieve. In 2021, Tim was promoted to Senior Vice President, where they manage a team of 50+ product managers, user experience designers/researchers, and learning researchers. Tim has also driven enterprise-wide digital transformation through discovery and documentation of internal customer toolset use cases/requirements and the establishment of a product data operations team.
Tim Flem attended the University of Cincinnati from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Literature and Writing.
