Peter Deans

Peter Deans is an experienced professional in risk management and consulting, currently serving as a Contributor for The Asian Banker since April 2023. As the Creator and Founder of 52 Risks and the Director at Notwithoutrisk Consulting, Deans has extensive expertise in providing strategic advice and risk management services. Deans is also engaged as a Non-Executive Director at Trade For Good and The RegTech Association. Previously, Deans held key positions including Chair & Non-Executive Director at Maia Financial, Chief Risk Officer at Bank of Queensland, and member of the QUT Economics and Finance School Advisory Committee. Deans supports startup development as a Mentor in the Macquarie University Incubator Mentoring Program. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Accounting from the University of Melbourne and additional studies at Harvard Business School.
