Alejandro Lopez

Alejandro Lopez is an experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as Principal Mechanical Engineer and Director at Magic Leap since March 2014, where collaboration with various cross-functional teams is pivotal to the development of advanced augmented reality systems. Alejandro has a robust background in wearable technology and has successfully led the launch of Magic Leap’s first commercial product. Previous positions include Senior Mechanical Engineer at Motorola Solutions, focusing on government and public safety communication devices, and a series of roles at Motorola Mobility, culminating in Senior Mechanical Engineer. Alejandro's technical foundation began with roles at Cordis - JnJ and GE as a project controller co-op and refrigeration engineer intern, respectively. Alejandro holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Robotics Engineering from Florida International University.
