Marty Evans

Marty Evans is a seasoned electrical engineering professional with extensive experience in consumer electronics and hardware design. Currently serving as VP of Electrical Engineering at Magic Leap since February 2023, Evans previously held various engineering roles at notable companies including Meta as Director of Electrical Engineering for Reality Labs, and at Facebook in a similar capacity. Early career highlights include positions at Valve Corporation focused on product hardware design, and at Microsoft as Surface Pro x86 Architect and System Lead, where significant contributions were made to the development of Surface family products. Additional experience includes senior engineering roles at HP and consultancy work at ACCO Brands, as well as a foundational background as an Avionics Systems Technician in the USAF. Evans holds a BS with Honors in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University.
