Michael Martin

Michael Martin, PhD, PMP, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity, defense, and augmented reality technologies. Currently serving as Senior Director and Product Manager for Cybersecurity and Defense at Magic Leap since May 2018, Martin focuses on ensuring the security and customization of augmented reality products for defense and public sector markets. Previously, in roles such as Senior Director and Principal at ML Horizons, Martin led strategies and partnerships for defense products. Martin's military background includes serving as Futures Branch Chief at the US Army National Simulation Center and as Simulations Operations Officer, while also holding teaching positions at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Martin's academic credentials include a BS in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy, a Master's degree in Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a PhD in Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation from Old Dominion University.
