Derik Hunt

Derik Hunt is an experienced software engineer with a career spanning over two decades, currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer at MagnaFlow since September 2020, where responsibilities include overseeing internal applications and migrating legacy systems to the cloud. Previously, Derik held positions such as Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at Leica Biosystems, focusing on the Scanner Administration Management system for digital pathology, and Software Development Manager at Mitchell International, managing a team of engineers on the Repair Center shop management application. Earlier experience includes roles at Commerce One as a Senior Software Engineer, where Derik developed a web-based Auction Studio suite, and as a Software Engineer at Mitchell International, designing applications for auto collision estimating. Derik also co-founded VIM Software, Inc., developing software solutions across various industries. Education includes a BS in Computer Information Systems from California State University, Fresno, and an AS in Business Administration from the College of the Sequoias.
