Basani Minah Mafreshh is currently a UNISA SBL YALI Facilitator at the University of South Africa SBL since March 2023. With extensive experience in social development, Basani has served as a Senior SW&Girl Child Ambassador and Case Manager at the Department of Social Development and Gauteng Department of Social Development, respectively, since July 2014. Notable achievements include being recognized as a 200YoungSouthAfricans 2021 Award winner in Rural Development and receiving the Mail & Guardian TOP 50 POWERFUL WOMEN 2021 award in the Governing Women category. Basani's educational credentials include a Master's in Social Work focused on Child Protection and Health from North-West University, along with various certifications in mentorship and leadership from reputable institutions. Prior experience includes serving as an Examination Assessor for the Gauteng Department of Education from 2008 to 2014.
