Chaze Matakala is a seasoned communications manager and writer currently engaged with Gallery 1957 and New Frame, while also contributing to Mail & Guardian, ArtThrob, Between 10 and 5, and OkayAfrica. Chaze has documented cultural affairs across the African continent and authored a travel diary on Brazil’s artistic heritage. With a solid academic foundation, including an MPhil in African Studies, and significant teaching experience as a Senior Lecturer and Literary Arts Manager at Open Window, Chaze fosters creativity in young minds through dynamic curricula centered on Afrocentric theory. Additionally, Chaze has served as a production consultant for a Zambian feature film and has experience in research and content strategy.
