Paul Riley is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Founder and CEO of Samsara Eco since January 2021, Paul has been instrumental in developing innovative enzyme recycling technology for sustainable plastic recycling in collaboration with notable partners like ANU and Woolworths. Paul also holds the position of Entrepreneur In Residence at Main Sequence Ventures, focusing on investments in research-driven global businesses, particularly in alternative proteins and recycling solutions. As Principal Managing Partner at X10 Capital PTY Limited and former Director at Eden Brew, Paul has contributed to the advancement of animal-free dairy products. Their background includes significant roles such as CEO of Sphere Healthcare Pty Ltd, where Paul led one of Australia’s largest complementary healthcare manufacturers, and CEO of Fulcrum Capital, specializing in small-cap private equity. Educated at Western Sydney University with a B Bus in Accounting, Paul has a proven track record in transforming innovative ideas into successful enterprises across multiple industries.

Main Sequence was set up in 2017 to manage the CSIRO Innovation Fund, founded by the Australian Government and the national science agency to reinvest its historic contributions into the successes of the future. Over the past four years, Main Sequence has invested in 39 companies changing the way healthcare is delivered, food is produced, spaces are connected and more. These investments have led to more than 60 company collaborative projects with universities and 19 projects with CSIRO.
