Doug Porter, CFA, CAIA has extensive experience in the investment industry. Doug started their career as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Acadia Trust in 2009. In 2013, they joined Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) as a Senior Investment Analyst. Over the years, Doug has taken on various roles at MainePERS including Asset Class Head, Alternative Credit, Deputy Managing Director, Investments, and currently serves as the Managing Director, Investments. Their expertise and knowledge have been invaluable to the organizations they have worked for.
Doug Porter, CFA, CAIA attended The Lawrenceville School from 1997 to 2001 and obtained their High School Diploma. Doug then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the College of Charleston, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, graduating in 2009. In terms of certifications, Doug Porter obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute in 2013, followed by the Alternative Investment Analyst Charter (CAIA Charter) from the CAIA Association in 2016.
