Jon Soong

Jon Soong has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Jon started their career as a Developer/Sys Admin at Kojo in 1999. Jon then worked as a Developer/Systems Administrator at the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science from 2002 to 2007. Jon also worked as an Analyst Programmer at Internode in 2007. Jon joined IBM as a Developer/Specialist from April 2007 to November 2009. Jon pursued further studies and served as a Graduate Student at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2008 to May 2010. Jon then worked as a DevOps Engineer at DMFour from October 2007 to February 2012. Jon gained experience in the finance industry as a DevOps/Sys Admin at Investment Science Asset Management from December 2009 to January 2014. Lastly, they have been the CEO of Makers Empire since January 2014, where they oversee the development of a learning program for young students centered around 3D design/printing and Design Thinking.

Jon Soong earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law from the University of Adelaide, completing their studies from 1997 to 2002. Additionally, they obtained a degree in Computer Science from the same university during the same time period. Jon further pursued their education at Carnegie Mellon University, where they completed a Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) from 2008 to 2010. Currently, no information is available about their enrollment or completion of a degree in Software from the University of Adelaide.
