Andre S. Yoon

Andre S. Yoon is a co-founder and CEO of MakinaRocks, a position held since May 2018. Prior to this role, Andre served as the Lead Data Scientist at SK Telecom from June 2016 to May 2018 and held the positions of Senior Research Scientist and Senior Algorithm Engineer at Samsung Electronics from July 2012 to June 2016. Academic experience includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in High Energy Nuclear and Particle Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where Andre was a Graduate Research Assistant from September 2006 to June 2012. Additionally, Andre earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics and Mathematics with a Minor from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where involvement as an Undergraduate Research Assistant occurred from July 2004 to July 2005.
