Jerry Yan serves as the Editor-in-Chief at Cell Press since January 2023 and as the Director at UEX: International Centre of Urban Energy Nexus. Jerry Yan is also a Chair Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, holding this position since August 2022. In addition, Jerry Yan has a longstanding role as Advisory Editor-in-Chief of Applied Energy, one of the largest academic journals in energy science and technology, and Editor-in-Chief of Advances in Applied Energy, an open access journal focusing on energy innovation. Jerry Yan has held editorial roles with Energy Procedia and is an active member of The European Academy of Sciences and Arts. Furthermore, Jerry Yan is the Editor-in-Chief of the Handbook of Clean Energy Systems at Wiley-Blackwell and leads the Future Energy Profile at Maladalen University in Sweden. Since 2009, Jerry Yan has been the Conference Chairman of the International Conference on Applied Energy, promoting discourse on energy technology and policy. Formerly, Jerry Yan held various academic positions at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. Jerry Yan earned a PhD in Energy from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
