Samar Shah joined Malta from Lockheed Martin Energy, where he worked as IPT lead, managed Power Module development for commercial application, managed external resources, and led a multi-disciplinary team of engineers focused on developing a long-duration flow battery. He brings with him a rich range of experience in the energy industry, including more than ten years of diversified experience across large organizations like Lockheed Martin and start-ups such as Gradiant and SustainX. At Gradiant, Samar implemented several key design changes and applied innovative engineering solutions that were instrumental to Gradiant’s growth from start-up to a company valued at over $100M.
Samar holds a MS in mechanical engineering from University of Texas at Arlington, a BE in Mechanical Engineering from GCET, India, patents in energy storage and water treatment space, and a range of journal publications. He believes in bringing innovation through simplicity to deliver effective, efficient, and economical solutions.
