Alison Consoletti Zgainer has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Alison currently works at Manhattan Strategy Group as the Project Director for the National Charter School Resource Center, a role they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Director of the National Charter School Resource Center at the same company from July 2019 to December 2021.
Before joining Manhattan Strategy Group, Alison worked at Cesar Chavez Public Charter Schools as the Chief Accountability & Development Officer from July 2016 to July 2019. In this role, they played a key leadership role in creating a policy and accountability framework for the LEA and oversaw federal grant applications and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Alison also has experience at The Center for Education Reform, where they held various positions from 2006 to 2016. Alison served as the Executive Vice President from November 2013 to June 2016, managing the operations of the nonprofit organization and maintaining relationships with corporate and foundation donors. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Research from November 2011 to October 2013, supervising a team of researchers and managing projects pertaining to education reform legislation and funding. Alison began their tenure at The Center for Education Reform as the Director of Research from April 2006 to November 2011, contributing to publications and policy papers and leading a research project on charter school facilities.
Lastly, Alison started their career at the National Hispana Leadership Institute as a Program Coordinator from May 2001 to April 2006.
Alison Consoletti Zgainer pursued their higher education by enrolling at The George Washington University from 1997 to 2001. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Affairs. Alison continued their academic journey at George Mason University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a specialization in Nonprofit Management.
