Manhattan Youth
Josh Deane is a versatile film professional with extensive experience in various roles across the industry. Currently serving as a Gun Technician for TV/Film Armory at The Specialists Ltd. and as a Director/Collaborator at Sacred Ash Studios, Josh has directed and conceptualized over 50 music videos for the project "good composer/dead composer." As a writer, Josh authored the Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist script "The Wastes," for which production and direction of the feature-length film are ongoing. In addition to being a Co-Owner and instructor at Manhattan Youth, specializing in music production, acting, and filmmaking, Josh has a robust freelance career that includes roles as a film editor and director for various commercial and artistic projects. Educational credentials include an MFA from Barry R. Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema and a BFA from Wright State University.

Manhattan Youth
The mission of Manhattan Youth is to create safe spaces for exploring new disciplines, learning new skills, building confidence and cultivating community through engaging and imaginative activities. We realize our mission through after-school programs, summer camps, athletic leagues and a wealth of programming in our Manhattan Youth Downtown Community Center. Working in partnership with parents, schools and community stakeholders, we help families meet the challenge of raising children in the urban environment; we make our city a great place to learn, explore and grow. We ensure families in need have access to our programs by providing generous financial assistance. We seek always to grow in proficiency and empathy as we work to meet the needs of our community. We recognize the dignity of every person we serve, from toddlers to seniors, from the well-to-do to the just-getting-by, and the important role of each of us plays in the vibrant community we create and enrich together.
