Mira Oberman is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic direction and public engagement within environmental and sustainable development sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Recovery & Mitigation Specialist for the Government of Manitoba since September 2024, Mira previously held the role of Director of Communications and Public Programs at the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society from January 2019 to July 2024, where leadership in conservation campaigns was a key focus. Prior roles include Director at Cardinal Point Communications, Senior Communications Manager at the International Institute for Sustainable Development, and a Midwest Correspondent for AFP. Mira's educational background includes a Master's degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto, alongside completed coursework in journalism at Ryerson University.
