Elton Shum

Elton Shum serves as the Head of Asia Regional Fixed Income Portfolio Management & Trading at Manulife since December 2016, overseeing the fixed income investment mandates and derivatives book for the region. Responsibilities include managing investment processes, developing operating procedures, and implementing a risk management framework to enhance investment performance. Prior to Manulife, Elton held various positions at John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) from June 2007 to December 2016, including Managing Director of Portfolio Management and Director of Portfolio Management. Elton began a career in finance at Hancock Capital Management as a Senior Analyst from June 2006 to June 2007. Elton holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA in Finance from Boston University's Questrom School of Business.
