Melissa Mielkie

Melissa Mielkie has extensive experience in financial risk management and quantitative finance, currently serving as AVP of VA Hedging within Global ALM at Manulife since August 2014. Previous positions at Manulife include Director and Manager roles focused on strategy for Global VA Hedging, alongside time as a Senior Analyst. Prior to their tenure at Manulife, Melissa worked at the University of Western Ontario as a Teaching Assistant and Lecturer in subjects related to financial markets and applied mathematics, achieving outstanding evaluations. Melissa also completed a Financial Risk Management internship at Manulife Financial. Melissa holds a PhD and MSc in Applied Mathematics, as well as an Honors BSc in Applied Mathematics and Sociology, all from Western University.
