Shirley Tao

Shirley (Xueying) Tao is a seasoned actuarial professional with extensive experience in various actuarial roles. Since July 2016, Shirley has served as a Senior Actuarial Assistant at Manulife, specializing in US VA modeling. Prior to this, Shirley held positions as an Actuarial Assistant focused on VA modeling and as an actuarial intern at EY, where involvement in P&C loss reserving analysis was key. Earlier actuarial intern experiences include work at Mutual of Omaha, where contributions were made to MG-ALFA model consolidation and improvement of GAAP assumptions, and at MetLife, which involved stochastic projections and liquidity risk analysis. Shirley's career also includes a role as an Enrollment Specialist at Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. Shirley holds a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Applied Statistics from Penn State University.
