Emmanuel Sambale (Maning)

Emmanuel (Maning) Sambale is a seasoned Data Specialist at Mapbox since September 2015, where key responsibilities include co-leading global data projects focused on Maps, Search, and Navigation products, as well as enhancing data quality and managing large-scale mapping systems for OpenStreetMap. Prior experience includes serving as Geomatics Manager at Environmental Science for Social Change, where operations were coordinated for the Geomatics Unit and methodologies were developed for a national forest cover mapping project. Emmanuel has also contributed as a GIS Specialist for the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, engaging in community mapping for flood preparedness in Malawi, and has held academic positions as a lecturer at Miriam College and Coordinator for NSTP-CWTS at De La Salle University. Emmanuel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Planning from Miriam College.
