Thomas Ray

Thomas Ray is a Scientist at MapLight Therapeutics, Inc. since July 2019, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Duke University from January 2014 to July 2019. During the postdoctoral tenure, Thomas focused on the molecular mechanisms underlying neural circuit development and neurodegeneration, particularly the genetic programs essential for the evolution of complex sensory systems. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Louisville (2008-2013) and Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology and Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University (2004-2008).
